We are very proud to announce our newest version – PigeonMe 1.2.

Calling All Friends

So, what does this mean?  You can now send a Pigeon to ALL of your friends and not just your iPhone buddies.  We have expanded support beyond the iPhone to enable anyone with a smartphone to be able to respond to Pigeons – we call it PigeonMe lite.  PigeonMe lite is a mobile web application that will allow your friends with internet access to receive and respond to Pigeons.   In addition, if they allow location services they can “see” Pigeons traveling to the desired location.

While we are still in development of the Android version, this provides a better user experience for all of those non-iPhone users out there. Now, go send some Pigeons!

As they accept the request you can easily track each employee as they make their way to the off-site location.

Not only will this eliminate the back and forth emails or even text messages but this will free up your time to tie up any loose ends before the meeting. No more text messages asking where the meeting is, or I’m lost, or the famous I’m stuck in traffic and running late. PigeonMe does the job for you so you don’t have to.

Once it’s time to start the meeting you can easily see who is there and where the others are in route.  Changes to the agenda are easy so you can accommodate those present and ready to begin. Those that arrive late will adjust accordingly to the changed agenda. Walla, you are now the miracle Pigeon Master and everyone gets out of the meeting right on-time!

Sending your friends a Pigeon makes sure they don’t get lost as they try to meet up with you.  Pigeons are great and do all of the work in making sure your friends know where to find you.  Your invite will show fellow pigeons where to meet you, give them directions to the new location, and keep you updated on their arrival time.  When you notice your friends getting closer you’ll know to be on the lookout for them (maybe even order their drinks).  This makes for a great way to start to the evening.

Football season is here, are you ready to kickoff your tailgating in style? Here are some great tips to make sure everyone enjoys their Saturday in the stands!

Host Like a Pro
When it comes to food, keep in mind quality and quantity! For those that enjoy tailgating in true style, there are the go-to grilled hot dogs and hamburgers. Want a simple change in the menu? Try these mouth watering mini hamburgers. Snack items including chips, pasta salad, deviled eggs, Chex mix or this amazing 7 layer tex mex dip are a must. And for the health nuts in your group fruits and veggies are your best bet, but change it up with this recipe for potato salad. Don’t forget dessert and show off who you are cheering for by making these team spirit cupcakes.

As you know beer and sodas are a safe bet with any crowd. For something new and refreshing try this lemonade for the adults in your group. Having a variety makes for a happy crowd.

Show Your School Spirit
Don’t forget to show off your team colors. When it comes to football and tailgating you can never have enough team spirit so go all out! Paint your face your team colors, wear your favorite player’s jersey, buy a giant foam finger and scream your lungs out in the stands.  Like they say: Go big or go home.

So we put together an amazing team of talented artists and developers to march off and solve this problem.

We focused on building a very useful, cool and fun application.  To do this, we took a bunch of successful ideas and rolled them all together.  The basis of our big idea is built around a 3000 year-old form of communication, the homing pigeon. For centuries, it has been a way for people to send messages to others.

With a little creative inspiration from other successful birds (Angry Birds and Twitter), we came up with our own little hipster birdy.

 

We then threw in the concept of people checking into places (think foursquare, Facebook Places, and Gowalla) and then asking their friends to meet them…and voila!…you have PigeonMe!
